Not having a dog at the apartment was just so strange for Cassidy to wrap her head around. She'd grown up with at least two dogs in the house at all times so the furry little friends just made her feel more comfortable, safe even. She knew that they had a somewhat strong man living with them but what if he decided that he wanted to go out late one night and someone broke in? Who would defend her and Stacy? She sure as hell wasn't brave enough to take on some possible murderer! She was barely brave enough to take on the spider in the bathroom... Okay, she wasn't even brave enough to take that one and Alec had to take the spider from the bathroom and outside so she could take a shower. She took a lot of showers these days to deal with the damn Los Angeles heat! The air conditioning had a way of spazzing out at the worst possible times... Well and sometimes she'd catch sight of Alec shirtless and she would simply have to take a cold shower to get her head back in the game. She couldn't possibly make a move on him! He was .. well he was yummy and single which she believed should be above any reason not to touch him.
She had her hand on his knee the entire drive to the mall, occasionally squeezing when they were at a red light or just ran into any kind of traffic which was actually quite a bit. She felt a little bad because Stacy was in the backseat so she had to be able to feel the amount of sexual tension going on between them right now or at least on Cassidy's side. It wasn't like she wanted anything really romantic with Alec - he was awesome and everything but she didn't think that a relationship between them going ever really work. One thing for sure was that it would be breaking any chance of her and Mona being friends again but this was Los Angeles.. What was the harm in just starting completely new with Alec and Stacy as if their lives in New York had never even happened? She, unlike her sister, was not holding some torch out for Milo to come begging for her back in his life. If they were meant to be then it would happen all on it's own in time. "What kind of dog are you guys hoping to get? I want something really big like a Great Dane or a Boxer." She just wanted something that would scare away possible bad guys plus she grew up with larger dogs.
She waited to ask them what they wanted until the trio was already half way through the mall and actually almost to the little pet store. What if they didn't find something that they liked? Or if they couldn't agree on the type of dog or the name? What if Alec wanted something like a llama despite the fact that they lived in an apartment with a small balcony?

( www.polyvore.com/puppy_shopping/set?id=87446988 ) Moving in with Cici and Alec wasn't such a bad thing. Actually, Stacy was beginning to feel as if she was truly getting the feel of life away from home. She did miss her parents dearly, however. Every evening she made sure to call them to say good night because she had gotten used to doing that when she was living in Washington DC. Stacy felt entirely privileged in every way. She had been ever since she was a young girl not to mention that she had several pets while growing up. The Daniels home was more or so a jungle due to it's animal diversity. Her mother had a cat, her father had two dogs, five rabbits and an aquarium. Yes, Stacy was used to being around animals and the absence of a furry creature at her new home would be just be heartbreaking. Aside from the two wild sex monkeys she lived with being her two lovely roommates. Don't get Stacy wrong; she absolutely loved both Cici and Alec. She had known them for so long it had to be impossible for her to dislike them but their sexual tension was worse than she had ever imagined. Who would have thought that those two would even mesh? She absolutely had no thought that that would ever happen considering Alec had Mona climbing on him like a sloth on a tree and Cici was all gooey-dooey love forever with Milo. It was interesting - to say the least. And very uncomfortable. Not even her parents could compare to this but she was certain that their attraction wasn't really love but just complete lust. She couldn't deny that they were extremely attractive people and she's gotten around much enough to understand how this makes sense. "I love boxers. They're little wrinkly faces are so cute!" Stacy chimed, looking through all the stores inside the mall. She had been to Glendale only once in her life, it was the summer after she turned thirteen. It brought back memories of her family looking like lost tourists and people staring at them. They were staring and that's what counted. Stacy had also forgotten the scorching weather in Los Angeles. She took out her cell phone to check the temperature and winced, "It's almost one hundred degrees, good god." she groaned. She was dressed appropriately for the temperature. A pink tank top, ombre blue short shorts and sepia colored sandals. Her hair was up in a high bun with a few stray hairs sticking out here and there with her Ray-Bans up on her head.

( 25.media.tumblr.com/d2dadbdbde7054f771643e205f160548/tumblr_mp4pcoxnHY1qacv77o1_500.jpg ) "God, I love this car," he exclaimed, running his palm up and down the leather steering wheel at a red light. Alec was a lover of cars, as evidently shown in his job description, but SUVs had their own special place in his heart. On his budget, he could only afford something like a Ford and not even one of the newer models, either. When he felt Cici's hand on his knee give a small squeeze, Alec cleared his throat and tapped his fingers on the gearshift before reaching up to change the radio station. There was no doubt that if Stacy hadn't agreed to move in, Alec and Cici would hump like rabbits, which was way it was a very good thing that she did. Alec knew that having Stacy around would keep him in check and his body parts to himself. At least, for the most part. He didn't know Cici as well as he did Stacy so as of now, she was just a hit-it-and-quit-it kind of girl and he definitely didn't want that kind of awkward relationship with a roommate. Not with their brand-spankin'-new lease. Therefore, Alec decided he would play it semi-safe by allowing himself to get a little touchy-feely, but never going all the way. Plus, with his hard-to-define relationship with Mona back home, he wasn't exactly ready for that kind of commitment anyway. As for dogs, Alec loved big dogs, but he was never able to own one because of the expenses such as food, grooming, and trips to the veterinarian. Volunteering at the animal shelter was as close as he ever got to having a pet and he absolutely loved his time there. But alas, time must move forward and people must grow up. With a tarnished permanent record, Alec had to rely on good ol' hard work to get through college and that left no time for a furry friend. It was be just fantastic if the three amigos could bring home a puppy today. "I want something manly, but it's up to you guys. Could we at least get a boy, though?" he asked nicely.

"I think that a boy dog would be lovely! As long as we can name him something somewhat feminine and sexy like Mark or Jace... I don't know exactly yet or maybe we could go with a food name like McNugget or Burrito." Cassidy actually wasn't sure what kind of names that she was going to want when they actually got to the puppies but she did know that Mark was definitely on the list. How could it not be? Everything needed to be named after Mark - he was the best president that the world had ever known plus he was paying a third of their rent along with her own parents so she figured that they needed to thank him somehow. She was currently thanking her mother by having not gotten pregnant as a teenager - that was all that she really ever asked of her children so it wasn't hard to live up to her expectations.
Mark on the other hand was harder to read and Cassidy could never tell if he was proud of her as his 'niece' or not, she didn't know what he expected of her and it made her determined to impress him. Not in the sick perverted way but in the 'he's powerful and one of my heros' way. She could never think of Mark Armando Daniels in a sexual manner! That would be like thinking of a puppy as a lion or a panda as something other than a sweet innocent misunderstood bear... Alec was kind of like a panda. Everyone in high school thought that he was just a no good criminal with awesome hair and now he was one of the most attractive guys that she had ever seen in her whole entire life. "I really hope that they have boxer puppies.. Or even like poodles." She didn't think that a teacup poodle puppy could defend them but they were still cute as can be.
She led the little group inside the pet store and almost immediately stopped when she spotted itty bitty tiny Chihuahua puppies right in front of the door in a little glass cage where you could reach in to pet them if you first used hand sanitizer. "Oh my goodness! Look at the little tails and ears.. Look at how cute that one is peeing on his sister!" Yep, it was official puppies could make literally anything look damn adorable. She glanced over to Alec and held on of the tiny little dogs up to his face so the little puppy could lick his nose.. Maybe that would convince him that it was a manly puppy. "Look at this one, doesn't he even look a little like you?"
