During the last few months after being reunited with Champagne and once again rekindling the fire that had lasted throughout a year; Jaden believed that the only rational step to take was to propose to his beloved girlfriend. He had come to his most confident conclusion and decided that she was the one for him. It was clear to see how much Jaden had changed ever since he laid eyes on Champagne. She brought out the good and most importantly, she made Jaden become a real man.
To be a real man, he didn't need to be a player or to even play football or lift weighs. No. Jaden realized that what made him a true male and above all a straight human being was the fact that he no longer fooled around senseless. He doesn't look down on promiscuous folks because he was once there and he knows that some people were fit for it and some were not. Sure Jaden had his fun but he knew from when he met eyes with Champagne that that wasn't what he wanted. He wanted love, pure and heartwarming love.
For a moment Jaden believed he wasn't going to find love. Man whores never went as far as just hitting and quitting, being alone and only living for pleasure. He tried to assume that Champagne came to save him from the misery that awaited him— as cheesy as it sounded. It brought a smile to his face every time he remembered the first time they met.
In the line of a greasy, fried food stand. She just happened to be looking for the glazed donut cheeseburger, too. Jaden was mesmerized by all of her being. He never really noticed the way people talked or carried themselves and only seemed to have eyes for their physical attributes but Champagne had something more than that. She had her own style. Jaden couldn't get enough of her and even now he can barely stand to be away having been so distant for what he felt had been an eternity.
This trip had to be extraordinary. Everything had to be perfect but natural so he wouldn't look like as if he had bought everything and hadn't lifted a finger. Jaden cooked pasta and baked raspberry chocolate cheesecake marble brownies. The French bread and bottle of liquor were store brought. He packed everything in neatly making sure the glasses were out of harms way considering they looked quite fragile.
Jaden really had no idea what he should wear. He usually always had this lumberjack style. So his picks were a mute colored thermal, dark blue jeans and his red and black plaid zipped sweatshirt with the heather gray colored hood.
"I thought I'd make dinner." Jaden smiled closed, reaching over to take the containers of food. He appeared perfectly fine on the outside, as if this were a typical outing and it was only special because they were at the beach — by a fire — after sunset — and he had cooked for them.
The sun was already more set than up, the sky had a violet color to it and the waves crashed softly on the shore leaving foam on the sand. The fire embers let out a soft crisp sound. Building a fire had taken Jaden a while to do because he wasn't a Boy Scout ever in his life. Jaden felt everything was perfect, even the weather was nice tonight. He just hoped that everything else would go well, too.
