Madison speight nineteen UNEMPLOYED STRAIGHT POLITICS Appearance Maddy is very pretty, though she'd never agree with that. No, Maddy has never liked the girl she sees in the mirror, but she's learnt to live with it, and is dealing pretty well, so she thinks. Maddy is quite average in height for a girl standing at 5"7. Weight has never been that big of an issue with Maddy and so she stopped weighing herself a long time ago, as she's happy with how she looks in that aspect, being quite slim but curvy in the right places. Maddy has been bleaching her hair light blonde since she turned fourteen and has no intention of stopping. Naturally her hair is a mousy brown colour, which is far too dull for her taste. Most days she leaves it in its naturally wavy state, but when she has time she likes to straighten her hair. The only thing Maddy can stand about her face are her eyes which are a very bright blue colour. The rest of her face she hates, she thinks her mouth is too wide, her nose is too long and her eyebrows are too dark. Make-up kind of annoys her so on a day to day basis she'll use very little. On the other hand, when she's going out she'll put on quite a lot of make-up and can be quite talented with a brush if she can be bothered to be. People like to point out that Maddy dresses like a boy, and that is the case. On most days she'll be seen wearing a t-shirt and jeans, and she sees nothing wrong with that. At least she's comfortable! Unlike some of the girls she sees tottering around in high-heels at eight o'clock in the morning. No thank you. Maddy will do just fine in her Nike's and her signature black beanie hat. Overall On the outside Maddy is a tough, outspoken girl who likes to boss people around and generally have a good time. If she likes you, that's awesome, and if she dislikes you then you better watch your back. Maddy doesn't have many enemies but the ones she does have certainly know about it. To her friends she's as nice as can be, always offering help in times of need. Though she has very few close friends Maddy has a lot of acquaintances that she'll sit with at lunch time and hang out with on the weekends. Maddy believes it keeps things much simpler to not have best friends, because relying too much on a person can lead to trouble in her eyes. This is the reason Maddy is very hard to tie down romantically, she's has a phobia of commitment, and hates labeling relationships. If you sit her down and try and label your relationship with her then she'll cut you off like a limb trapped under a rock, she is really not down for it. Maddy has always been a very opinionated person, and if she doesn't like what you're saying/doing then she will tell you, and you can bet that when she's telling you there will be a lot of expletives thrown around. If you don't agree with her then you'll get the cold shoulder for a day or two, but she'll come around eventually if she likes you enough. On the inside Maddy is a lot more fragile than she lets on. Things hurt her, but she keeps quiet, not wanting to break the 'tough girl' vibe she has going on. It's just that ever since her parents divorce she hasn't felt good enough, for anything, or anyone, and it's hard to deal with. When people compliment it's all she can do not to burst in to tears because she wants to tell them how wrong they are about her. History Maddy was born and raised in Clydebank, a small town in the UK, and she lived in the same house all her life. Up until she moved to the states for University, her family too opting for the change of scenery. The Speight household consists of her mum, Julie, her step-dad, Mike and her two step-brothers Jamie and Troy. Maddy's parents got divorced when she was seven, and it was a tough time, as it would be for anyone. All through her childhood Maddy had gotten on better with her dad, but once the divorce happened she barely got to see him. At first she would stay at her dads house every weekend, then it was every other weekend, then it was once a month, and soon enough her dad stopped coming to pick her up completely. It was devastating to her that her own dad didn't even want to see her anymore, but there was very little she could do at the age of ten. Years went by and Maddy tried to forget about her dad, and embrace her new family. Mike was an amazing step-dad and his sons were more than welcoming to their new step-sister, but something didn't feel right. No matter how perfect her new family seemed she still missed her real dad more than anything. When Maddy was sixteen she set out to find her dad, and it didn't take long to track him down. Like her mum he had settled down and started a new family, he had a wife who was twelve years younger than him, and a daughter who was no more than three years old at the time. When he opened the front door Maddy was delighted to see he looked just the same, and tears of joy sprung to her eyes, but her happiness was not returned. Instead she was yelled at, told to get lost, to fuck off, to stay away from him and his family. It stung, and it still does. Over time Maddy has grown distant from her new family, afraid that if she becomes too close to them they might leave and it would hurt too much. Now they're nothing to her but people that she shares a house with, and she knows that it's harsh, but so is being told to fuck off by your own father. |
