McGOUGH, JOSHUA R.
Joshua ruaan mcgough twenty two white: south african, irish, korean game operator (*carnie*) bi, but not openly music I'M TRYING TO SLEEP BUT HEIGHT: Six Foot Three WEIGHT: near 160 APPEARANCE: Joshua does not think he's good looking. At all, really. And let's be honest, most would agree. Right? He's not exactly ugly... he's got a certain cute look to him. But he's certainly no movie star. Regardless, his smile is adorable and his eyes get all squinty and cute when he's happy. They, like his hair, are a dark brown and look solid black when he's squinting. Its a little creepy. Talking about his hair again, its ridiculously curly. Usually, Joshua will keep it cut into a sort of lazy mohawk thing. The sides of his head will be shaved and he'll have a curly flop down the middle. But sometimes if he's short on money, he'll let it grow out a bit. He's also quite the man of facial hair and is almost always sporting a beard and mustache. Almost always. As far as clothing goes, Joshua is quite the 'hipster'. He has his jock days, but if we could only pick one, we'd set him with the hipsters. He's a fan of form fitted shirts and pants and could never say no to a pair of Vans. Snapbacks are his thing, and he really love windbreakers. Joshua has a full sleeve tattoo on his right arm. Its mostly of trees twisting together. His ears are gauged, but not very much. He doesn't plan to make them any bigger. He actually kind of regrets getting it done. I CAN'T CUZ YOU ALL HAVE LIKES:

OTHER: he will rarely go by Josh. He only ever refers to himself as Joshua. Ruaan is pronounced roo-on and McGough is pronounced mih-guff. Joshua is the "american" part of his name, Ruaan is for his primarily South African heritage, and McGough comes from his father being of Irish heritage. He has a South African accent. Its not very strong anymore as he's been in the states since he was eight, but its still there. OVERALL: -we'll get here- -but for now, have this: -friendly, sweet, gentle, loving, 'teddy bear', cocky, creative, intelligent, loud, obnoxious, jealous, clingy, obsessive (when i'm not half asleep, i'll write it all out) GUNS FOR HANDS. HISTORY: I was born in a very small village in the southern region of South Africa. I didn't live there for more than eight years, and I honestly don't remember much of it at all. I remember waking up to heat every day and playing rugby with my friends in the field behind my house. But that's about it. Because when I was eight, we moved to America. Columbus, Ohio, actually. I lived there until I was eighteen at which point I moved down to Tampa, Florida. And not until recently did I moved here to California. I grew up with my mom, dad and little sister, Nala. Yes, yes she was named after that cat from the Lion King. Its a true story, one she's very fond of telling. She used to tell people my name was Simba and when they didn't believe her, she'd say "I was kidding, its Kovu". We're a family of great African roots, clearly. Even though we might've been the whitest family to live in South Africa. I don't even tan. Coming from Asian and Irish backgrounds, I just burn. I fry. I practically crinkle up under direct sunlight. But its fine because pale skin is in. Obviously. When I was fourteen and still living in Ohio, I met a boy named Flint Stockholm. We formed a bit of a band that went on for a good three years, but when he was seventeen, he moved away to California to get started on his college career. We kept in contact and he's actually the reason I moved out to California. But during that year without him, I discovered my need for music. Before that gap, I had no clue what I wanted to do with my life. I didn't think I could do anything with my life. School wasn't easy for me; science sucked, math didn't make sense, I was fine with writing but never about the subjects they asked for. Music was all that made sense to me, and being without it for a year was what told me that. So I moved to be with Flint and make music again. And that's where I wanna stay. That's what I wanna be and do and breathe and become. Music, to me, is the blood running through my veins. It keeps me going and I know how to make it. Without music... damn, without music, I'd probably still be in Columbus playing video games as a drop out. |
