Forget the board
PERSONALITY Before she turned thirteen Jo was a sweet girl, she wore dresses and look cute with her hair done and her clothes not tattered and ripped, however that all changed when she started hanging out with the wrong crowd. She had grown up under the influence of her mother moving around from place to place and never staying in one place long enough to make friends, so the first time she did, it didn’t end well. She started to become someone that she never was before, her jeans were ripped at the knees and her shirts were torn apart. She became a rebel and that’s the same way she is today.
Jo is a pretty nice person actually, although she can be a bitch at times, and look like she is a total bitch, she really likes to have people around and be friends with them. Even though she looks like a rebel bitch to most people because of her style of clothing and dress.
She has a skater type look to her style, and tends to wear clothes that not only show off her body but make her look like she can’t afford decent clothes. Ripped up t shirts and jeans with tights under them, or maybe a ripped up pair of tights and some cut off shorts. Either way she tends to look like she just walked out of a fight most of the time, and that’s part of her style and the way she likes to look, it might scare people away but she doesn’t want to be friends with those people anyway.
Even when she does seem like a total bitch she really loves kids, she really likes to talk to them, maybe because she wishes that life was still that simple. Maybe it’s because she loves the innocence of kids before they go into the real world and meet people that will take that away, either way she loves them. She can act sweet as can be to a child and then turn around and be a total bitch to you. She finds it hard to be mean to children, and that might be one redeeming quality of her personality.
Something else that tends to be noticed about her is that she is a major flirt, she likes to flirt with anyone and everyone, and things usually tend to go farther than just flirting. She might be labeled as a slut and she hates that label. She doesn’t believe that she is a slut, because she is definitely careful about what she does and who she does it with. She might like kids but she doesn’t like them enough to have one of her own. She is actually not mature enough for a baby and she knows that.
Jo is very immature, which is probably why she gets along with children better than people her own age. She’s not ready to grow up, even though she already did somewhat. The two things that Jo is really likes to do and one is make music and skating. Ever since she was a little girl she knew how to skate, and she had been doing it her entire life. Something about her really likes it, and she feels like she can be free when she does that. When she makes music she feels at rest like she can be at peace with the world and everything she has done in the past and forget about everything. The two give her totally separate feelings and she loves it. She can spend all day sitting around playing and listing to music and just enjoying it.
Jo really likes having friends, so she tries to be friendly towards everyone, no matter if they seem like horrible people, but she is also super clingy to the friends she makes, and it might not seem like it at first, but once you get to hanging out with her you’ll see that she can be annoying at times, but if you’re willing to get used to her then she is actually a nice person.

Ride the Skater
History: Her mother never really had a real job, she never did anything, but one thing she did like to do was skate. From the time Jo was born to the time she was eight or nine years old they lived in a van, and traveled all around the united states. Sometimes Jo went to a real school and sometimes she didn’t and she just studied from the books she had stolen from her old school.
It wasn’t until she went to school, and a teacher found out that her mother was not fit for taking care of her that they sent her into foster care. She lived there for a few years until she was thirteen when her mother was stable and took her back into her life. They had a real house for the first time in her life, and things were normal for Jo. Until she started hanging out with the wrong crowd of people, and her style changed. It was easy for her to start hanging out with them, and smoking, and doing things that thirteen year olds should not be allowed to do.
When she was fourteen she lost her virginity to a guy that she never saw again, and she didn’t think twice about it. She just wanted to be cool, and accepted into the group. So she did whatever they wanted her to, and that included stealing. The group stole a lot of things, because none of them could afford things they wanted. It was simple stuff at first, when Jo wanted clothes her mom wouldn’t buy for her, or when they didn’t have food and she wanted some.
That was until she was arrested. She spent some time in a juvenile detention center and then was allowed to go back. Her mom moved with her to another state, and she again started hanging out with the wrong people, but this time her mom made her see a counselor, who suggested they make her do things, to get rid of that free time she had to spend with these people. They forced Jo to join band, and that was when she found out that she really loved music.
Sure she had been in a crappy band with people that were her friends back home, but she never knew much about music as a whole. She taught herself to play guitar, and she liked playing it but she had never really paid much attention to it. She really liked music and decided that was what she wanted to do with the rest of her life, and when she came here she picked it as a major.
