Just curious, but why are the people who are against roleplaying in first person against it in the first place? You don't have to rp with the people who are rping in first person, and idk. I think offering more freedom when it comes to roleplay styles could give the site a more unique edge, since most these days only allow third-person.
Not to cause a big argument or debate or anything- I'm just genuinely curious because I want to know other's viewpoints on the matter.

...Not that my opinion matters much anyway....
I don't speak for everyone, but to me first person seems a little self inserty. Like you're trying to be the characters, and there might not be anything wrong with that, but I just think that when people put themselves into a character it can be a little creepy to Rp with them.
Like I don't want to role play with you as a person, and I suck at smut but i'm bringing this up because I know some people *cough*aly*cough* like to do it. How awkward would it be to rp sex scenes in first person? It would be hella awkward.
Idk it's just really weird for me. y'all do what you want though.

well... isn't that what "role-playing" is? playing the role of the character? as yourself as the character?
it's still roleplaying and it's still writing no matter how you do it. it's like sex. if it's consensual, who the fuck cares?

EDIT: um so i just clicked "DON'T allow" by accident when i was trying to vote for first person, and it suddenly counts my vote after countless times of trying to vote for first person? :c i also keep trying to unclick the box, but it won't take away my vote asdfghjkl.
SECOND EDIT: i got it to take my vote away (i just wasn't tapping my screen in the right place), but it still won't record my vote for first person. this is really frustrating. ;c
